Stewart Alsop
Venture Partner, New Enterprise Associate

Stewart Alsop is a venture partner with New Enterprise Associates, where he worked as a general partner for eight years starting in June 1996, focused on early stage investment in information technology companies. Stewart invested in companies developing technologies and services for broadband networks and rich media. He was also a columnist for Fortune magazine.

Stewart is raising a new venture capital fund focused exclusively on helping entrepreneurs start new technology companies.

Prior to NEA, Stewart was Editor in Chief of InfoWorld, a weekly newspaper for information-technology professionals. He also published PC Letter, a fortnightly newsletter for computer industry insiders, and produced the Agenda and Demo conferences for executives of companies in the computer industry. Before 1985, he served in several executive editorial positions at business and trade magazines, including Inc. Stewart graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles.

Paul D’Addario
Co-Founder, Senior Managing Director, Palisades Ventures

A former member of the Media/Telecom Group of CSFB, Paul has over fifteen years of experience in the communications, media and entertainment financing and advisory business, and has important relationships with industry leaders in those fields. He was a Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. (DLJ), prior to CSFB's acquisition of DLJ. At DLJ, Paul was a member of the investment committee of the DLJ New Economy Fund and managed a number of high-profile financings and M&A deals for major media, technology and entertainment companies including: Crown Media Holdings, Inc., IMAX Corp., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc., and Turner Broadcasting.

Paul has developed relationships with private media, technology, and entertainment companies and maintains strong relationships with other major venture firms, investment banks, and accounting and law firms. Prior to DLJ, he was in the M&A Group of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Paul received a B.A. from Boston College, a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from Villanova Law School.

Nick Donatiello, Jr.
President and Chief Executive Officer, Odyssey

Nick is President and CEO of Odyssey, a San Francisco-based market research firm known for its work in understanding how technology is changing consumer media habits. Prior to founding Odyssey, Nick was President & CEO of Arena Systems, a technology company specializing in developing and marketing software for retail chain stores. Nick served as press secretary and then campaign manager for U.S. Senator Bill Bradley. Before going to Capitol Hill, he was a consultant in the San Francisco office of McKinsey & Co. Nick has appeared as a keynote speaker at new media conferences around the world and has presented Odyssey's views and facilitated discussions on trends in at-home entertainment, information and commerce in a variety of corporate settings. He is widely quoted as an expert on consumers and new media and was selected by Newsweek as one of the "50 People Who Matter Most on the Internet." Nick serves on the board of directors of numerous private companies as well as Gemstar-TV Guide International.

William J. Geary
General Partner, North Bridge Venture Partners

Bill has been with North Bridge Venture Partners since inception. Prior to joining North Bridge, he was a general partner at Hambro International Equity Partners. From 1987 through 1990 Bill was the chief financial officer of MathSoft, an applications software start-up, now publicly-traded on the NASDAQ. Prior to that, he was at Congoleum Corporation where he helped raise the capital and structure the successful $500 million private buyout of the company. From 1980 to 1984 Bill was a CPA with Arthur Andersen & Co.

Bill has played an invaluable role in helping nearly all North Bridge investments establish themselves as businesses. For the past several years his responsibilities have included making investments and board representation. Bill's venture investing is targeted at the software and communications industries.

Bill is a graduate of Boston College (Magna Cum Laude, Carroll School of Management, Honors Program), 1980.

Richard A. Maggiotto
President & CEO

A founding executive, Rich has been with Zinio since its conceptual inception and has been instrumental in the growth of the company having had responsibility for the introduction of new departmental mandates including product creation, operational oversight, and client services. Rich has led the development of new strategic business and partnering opportunities, including the development of new domestic and international partnership opportunities; new revenue streams for the Company's core business; and new product markets and verticals. Prior to Zinio, Rich worked at America Online where he was a key member of the Office of the Vice Chairman and was involved in high-level strategy initiatives, organizational planning, and transactional assignments working closely with investment and business units. Prior to AOL, Rich was an analyst with ML Strategies Inc, a boutique consultancy in Boston. His assignments, on behalf of companies in the media and technology industries, included corporate restructurings, financing and competitive market analysis. Rich graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bowdoin College.

Mike Perlis
Managing Partner, Softbank Capital Partners

Mike Perlis is a Managing Partner at SOFTBANK Capital Partners. Perlis has over twenty years of experience as a top executive at leading magazine publishing and multi-media companies. He specializes in building organizations that profitably manage brand development and maximization across multiple media delivery platforms. Most recently Prior to joining Softbank, he was President and CEO of Ziff Davis Publishing, the pre-eminent authority on technology and the Internet. Perlis has held the top posts at TVSM, Playboy, GQ, and IDG. He was group publisher at Rodale Press where he launched the Active Sports Network and co-founded Men's Health Magazine. He began his career as an entrepreneur, founding and managing New England Publications. Perlis sits on the boards of: GSI Commerce, Inc. (formerly Global Sports Interactive), Enpocket, Webhire, Inc., World Publications and Zinio.com. He is a member of the Board of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and a Trustee of Outward Bound USA.
